I'm the all night drug prowling wolf

Monday was my birthday :) sixteen. I need to get a camera with a timer so i can do fashion shots; i'm much too shy to ask a friend to do it! So this post will be dedicated to a few of my inspirations;

Keith Richards;

An amazing man, fantastic style..don't give a damn attitude, he is the epitome of cool in my eyes. I'm so jealous of the days spent in Nellcote hanging out, i would have killed to been alive then.

Anita Pallenberg

Cheshire cat grin, beautiful eyes and stylish haircut. I adore Anita's smile and sense of style, she was truly a queen during the Rolling Stone's Nellcote days. She has a dazzling effect over anyone, most notably Keith Richards. In the 90s Marianne Faithfull told Anita how in love with her she had been and Anita only flashed her a smile, she knew. In Marianne's words, " another rat tail to hang on the barn door". And Anita is still to this day a charmer, inspiring the likes of Kate Moss.

Marianne Faithfull

Sweet angel looks with an underlying edge. Marianne was labeled as a convent girl after her school days and when she became a pop star she was crafted into an innocent angelic image. Marianne was infact amazingly well read, giving Mick Jagger the novel, 'The Master and Margarita' which inspired the song 'Sympathy for the Devil.' Marianne has lived through amazing things, she survived a coma after being pronounced as gone, lived on the streets of London for a year and inspired many of the Rolling Stone's greatest hits. She was also notably given the title of Miss X , (The Girl in the Fur Rug) after the Redlands Drug Bust, Marianne having just had a bath was wearing only a fur rug, which would survive a fire years later. Jerry Hall said that of all Mick Jagger's girlfriends Mick loved Marianne the most.

Pattie Boyd

She inspired the best from George Harrison and went on to inspire the passionate song Layla by Eric Clapton. She was a staple of the mod look, blunt bangs, large blue eyes and pale lips. She was a succesfull model but at first was denied by many, one photographer asking her if 'it was fashionable to look like a rabbit?' She joined the Beatles on their trip to India and also became a large figure in the swinging sixties. She is now a succesful photographer.

Edie Sedgwick

Andy Warhol's muse and Bob Dylan's rumoured love, Edie was a beautiful lithe creature with large eyes and never ending limbs. Her signature look was black tights and short dresses with long dangly earrings. Sadly, like many other superstars she slowly dwindled into the confines of drug use, in the last years of her life she looked incredibly natural and serene, although i favour her large eyed look.

Joe Strummer

Always standing up for the little man, Joe Strummer had a revolutionary mind. He was the frontman of The Clash and before that, a great little rockabilly band called The 101ers. He went by the name of Woody for some time and later changed his name to Joe Strummer, mainly because he 'couldn't play seperate strings, only all six of them.' Joe Strummer's original name was John Mellor. He sadly passed away in 2002 of a heart condition. The lyrics from my blog title are from his fabulous song, 'White Man in Hammersmith Palais.'

Twiggy & Kate Moss

I look to both Twiggy and Kate Moss for fashion inspiration, I adore Twiggy's mod look and the way Kate brings on the rock and roll look.

Alexandra Richards;

Theordora Richards;

Thats all for today, next i'll be elaborating more on my inspirations, some summer love and all. Soon hopefully, more fashion shots from myself.
